Screen assembly step by step
We usually post pics of what is going on in the workshop. Today we decided to show you all the process of how we go about assembling a delicate screen for building facade.
- First step is to lasercut the two overlapping frames. Spray it up in the respective colours. Then overlay and glue together.
2. We then trim the diagonal to follow the design. There are four frames, two set of two. Each has different designs
3. We lasercut a template/guide for gluing the louvres in position.
4. Engrave the perforated sheets for the louvres. The sheets then gets a coat of white paint
5. Once painted it goes back in the laser machine to cut out the individual louvres.
6. We place the position guide over the frame and start to individually glue the louvres onto the frame.
7. Gluing the louvres takes precision ad patience taking care not to glue the them to the guide.
8. What it looks when all the louvres are glued in position.
9. We then gently remove the guide ensure that the louvres are not damaged in the process.
10. What they look after its glued and the duide is removed
11. Then we trim off the outside edge of the frame. This in not part of the design but just to hold the screen together while gluing.
12. The Screen trimmed and complete
13. Applying the screens to the building. Always best to apply it horizontally, there is more control.
